After a closure of eight years, we are delighted to have re-opened The Trevor Arms in the village that means so much to us. Built by John Harvey for the arrival of the railway, it is our great pleasure to be continuing the 180 years of history that this building holds. Our ethos looks to all the best aspects of ‘The Local’ as it was; a welcoming hub for meeting, exchanging ideas and enjoying good company. And the train is still here! So enjoy a lovely walk on the downs and hop on the train home.

We have in our local area a super array of small producers in food, drink and traditional crafts that we have drawn together for The Trevor, and as a freehouse can pour changing selections from some of the UK’s best small brewers, such as Burning Sky, Beak, Abyss, The Kernel.

And the big news, is that we now have the first brewery in Glynde here for nearly 200 years! Come and try our house Best Bitter, only available here.

The lowest beer miles around?

Having been in Brewing for years, a Brewery downstairs was always in our plan. We hadnt imagined we would be so lucky with who took up residence there though. Robin was the old head brewer at Beak and worked with Mark at Burning Sky Brewery. We are thrilled to see him setting up his own venture with a young family as Foreman Brewery. Fantastic keg and cask beers just meters from the tap!
We like beautiful things...

Everything within the pub is gently considered, from the tools used on the farm here by our granddad, to the changing work of local artists on the walls, to our beautiful local flowers. Many friends, old and new, are involved in handmade crockery, bespoke prints and carpentry and lots more. It is all held brilliantly by The Stealthy Rabbit
Local, seasonal kitchen

90% of everything we sell comes from local companies

Head chef Matt partners with suppliers who are deeply passionate about their craft and dedicated to quality. Luckily for us, most of these producers are on our doorstep. The menu is always fresh, handmade and top quality seasonal food with proper pub style eating.
Craft beer in the countryside

20 taps pouring
All the way from alcohol free pale ales and local kombucha, to real ales and DDH NEIPAs. We only use small and independent suppliers who are top of their game. Yet again in Sussex we are surrounded by the best quality brewers so we mainly stay local; we will always have our own Fourman brewery as well as plenty of beer from Mark at Burning Sky, The Andrews at Abyss and Danny and his team at The Beak on sale here. The Trevor Arms Best and other gluten free beers are always available.
Come for a cuppa

We serve coffee from Pharmacie Coffee Roasters in Lewes, headed up by Carola—easily one of the best roasters in the UK. Having run cafes in the past, we take our coffee service seriously! We also only use unhomogenised milk from Downsview Dairies, just three miles away. We think that good alternative drink offers open a pub up to more of the community more of the time, welcoming to all.
A space for community

Book launches, apple pressing, knitting/ drawing/music groups, we have hosted so much already and are keen for more. If you have something you would like to do here, get in touch, we love this type of thing!
